As climate change becomes a prominent topic in the Oregon governor’s campaign, we’re getting a front-row seat to each candidate’s program.
Tina Kotek recently got the Oregon League of Conservation Voters’ support. OLCV invited Nick Kristof, Tobias Read and Kotek for an interview in addition to endorsements.
On the other hand, Patrick Starnes was not invited. Why am I bewildered in the first place? Starnes has accomplished significantly more than these candidates in terms of climate change.
In the 1980s, Starnes assisted in the formation of a tri-county recycling non-profit that helped keep raw materials out of landfills, which generate large amounts of greenhouse gases.
